prof. doc. ge wenjie, born in 1956, is a full professor and doctoral tutor in school of mechanical engineering, northwestern polytechnical university. he is in charge of the teaching base for mechanical basic courses of northwestern polytechnical university. he is the leader of national teaching team in mechanical basic courses, and the leader of national excellent course in machine theory, being awarded “national distinguished teacher in university”.
prof. ge wenjie mainly engages in teaching and research work of mechanical design theory and mechanical design manufacturing. he has taught mechanical theory to undergraduates and bionic robotics to graduates. his research fields are mechanisms and robotics, mechanical dynamics and bionic robotics.
he has hosted up to 10 national teaching projects including national teaching base, new century online course, national excellent course, national teaching team, national planning team for key teaching materials and etc., and hosted 4 projects granted by national natural science foundation of china, 5 projects granted by doctoral foundation of chinese ministry of education, one national “863” project and some other projects at provincial or ministerial level. he has got up to 80 scientific and teaching papers published and 32 invention patents. he has written 10 textbooks and e-books. the teams supervised by him have been awarded 10 first and second prizes in mechanical creative design competition for undergraduates. up till now, he has received 2 national teaching achievements, 2 provincial teaching achievements, and grand prize for outstanding teachers of baogang education fund, enjoying special allowances of the state council.
