on october 20, 2022, song baowei, member of the party standing committee and vice president of npu, zhang fuli, director of the npu international cooperation office, xiang dan, vice director of the npu international cooperation office came to qmes for investigation. it was emphasized at the meeting that the promotion of sino-foreign cooperative education should be included in the overall work of npu, so as to continuously improve qmes’s international education quality and level.
song baowei and his delegation successively visited qmes’ international community, the immersive ideological and political education experience classroom, innovation laboratory, internet-smart classroom, etc., accompanied by fan xiaoli, dean of qmes, dai fuping, secretary of the qmes party committee, cheng yin, deputy secretary of the party committee and vice dean of qmes and other relevant personnel.
fan xiaoli gave a report on the development status of qmes, the measures and achievements of talent cultivation, the system of teaching quality guarantee, and the current situation of sino-foreign cooperative education in china. she noted that qmes had achieved the initial expected results in talents training, innovation and entrepreneurship, graduation development of students. however, in order to improve the education level of qmes, it was still necessary to overcome difficulties and face new challenges: continuously optimizing the talents training model, improving the curriculum system, education and teaching quality guarantee system, and strengthening the construction of faculty team with international background and culture construction.
song baowei stressed that npu would further strengthen the planning and management of sino-foreign cooperative education. qmes, as an important deployment of npu in sino-foreign cooperative education, should further play its leading role in guiding and promoting the talent cultivation of other disciplines by its successful experience, so as to cultivate more high-quality interdisciplinary innovative talents and actively contribute to the construction of “double first-class” initiative of qmes.
